If You Could...

If you could travel to any place in the entire world, whether it be for a vacation or even to live, where would you go?

If I could visit any place in the world, I would choose...

London!

Really, this is just because I have seen more than enough music videos and movies that have done nothing but convince me that this may just be one of the most gorgeous places ever! And when you're on a vacation you really only want to see all the pretty places.

~*~

If I could live in any place in the entire world, I would choose...

 New York City!

I would love to just live in a loft, in the middle of the city. Where I could see all the bright lights from my window and be able to walk just about anywhere. I love bright city lights, always have and if I could live in N.Y.C, that may just make me the happiest person alive.

New Song, You Need To Hear!

Music! It's a big thing for me. Always has been always will be! You can ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you that music is just essential to me. I have the weirdest taste in music if I actually think about it. I like some musicals, acoustic, some pop, rock, some grunge, 80's, electronic, very few hip hop, and even fewer country songs. I hate rap and R&B though, it's just noise. Lately though I have found myself obsessed with this new song though and I love it so much I'm pretty much trying to convince everyone else I know how great it is. So here it is...

Zee Avi-Concrete Walls

This is not the real video for this song, but it doesn't matter. It's still amazing and so peaceful. What do you think?

Indecisiveness

Thanks for the post from Sylvester Campbell

I was in such an indecisive mood the other day. When I woke up, I couldn’t decide what I wanted for breakfast, so I just defaulted to my usual bowl of cereal with almond milk and blueberries. I took my coffee and cereal into the living room to eat and clicked on the TV. I just watched whatever appeared on the screen, which happened to be The Today Show. I knew from the start that this was not a good day to try and choose something myself from our enormous Direct Choice Package. Luckily, I was pleased with what came on since I typically watched this on the TVs at the gym when I was on the treadmill. I was so happy that I didn’t have to go to work because I was definitely not comfortable making decisions that affected other people. In fact, I called my husband and had him pick up take out for dinner because I had a strong feeling that if I were to enter the kitchen with the mission of deciding what to cook for dinner, I’d be sucked into the black hole of indecisiveness that had consumed the rest of my day!

Looking At The Glass Half- Full...

For the past few years things have been a bit rocky for me. The loss of a stable and well paying job, having to move away from friends and family and then not being able to find a replacement job that would give me the same income that I used to make. GOD, and it's not been easy, and it's been very stressful on my relationship. Not so much about money because we don't really fight about it like most couples do. Instead we learned to live with the new lower incomes that we both have, but having to downscale your spending and your life can really begin to take a toll, no matter how hard you work to accept things and no matter how hard you work to enjoy life with the new limitations.

Today I got to thinking...and I realized that life isn't so bad and that there are many other people in a much worse position that we are. When I look in my cupboard, I see food for days. The same thing in my fridge, we also had the luxury to run our ac's and coolers all day on the hottest summer days and I am still out there shopping and getting things I need, just in a smaller scale. Maybe having to learn how to shop with less money has actually made me more money savvy and it's made me learn how to use coupons, hunt for sales and always use coupon codes. Now I get more for my money.

So really all in all, my life is great and I need to count my blessings and be thankful for what I do have and not look at what I used to have. Hey, one day I may have that again, but I will probably enjoy it more then because this time has changed me and I will never look at things the same way. Today I see that the glass is actually half full and not half empty as I usually see it.

Aww, Google's Turning 13 Today!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday Goo-oo-gle!
Happy Birthday to you!

My favorite search engine is turning 13 today! How exciting! I swear it knows everything, and any time I have a question I can always trust Google to give me an answer. When it doubt, Google it!

Great Educational Toys for Kids...

Hardwood Unit Blocks Starter SetThe holidays are right around the corner, as an aunt to more than 5 kids for me this becomes a time to think about giving all my nieces and nephews fun gifts. At the same time though,  sometimes I struggle to make sure that I am also giving them an educational toy that can help them be creative and inspire them to learn and explore on their own. A toy for me is a key to the imagination that can be used to create magical and imaginary worlds, where a little girl can imagine herself a fairy princess that will conquer the world or where a little boy can imagine he is a train conductor delivering gifts to kids all over the world. I love watching them sit for hours playing and enjoying their toys, all the while using their little minds and expanding their knowledge. When I see them taking a toy like a puzzle or blocks and create something so special and magical out of it, I know that I did a great job by providing them a stepping stool to a whole new world. As they get older and I see them thrive and learn more I know that the educational toys and gifts I have given them along the years have helped them to be more open and creative.

Make Your Trade Show Booth Pop Out...

Table Top Displays

Will you be attending a trade show and need to figure out how to really make your booth pop out and attract plenty of visitors? Pop up trade show displays are used at trade shows, events, job fairs, retail stores and anywhere a large portable display wall is needed.  Pop up displays come in a variety of shapes and sizes and you can add graphics to them or order them graphic ready with your logos, designs and pictures.

Contrary to what you might think, Pop up booths are easy to set up and transport.  The frame opens up like a EZ UP canopy or an accordion.  You then hang either fabric or graphic panels to the frame and you are all set up.  Also, the case can convert to a podium stand by using either a graphic or fabric wrap to surround the case. A plastic or wood top is added to finish off the podium. Set up can be fast and easy depending on your pop up design.

The next time you visit a trade show, you will see the many pop up displays being used in the various forms by many different companies. The most unique trade show pop up designs will be the huge lit up ones with pictures and lights, but you will find that even the simpler designs are very good at attracting plenty of attention.  Picture pop ups at a trade show are sort of like a billboard along a freeway and will help you bring targeted traffic to your booth and business.

Last Weekend of Summer...And Just How Did You Spend It?

This was the last weekend of summer and in my neck of the woods we got a brief respite from the 3 digit weather we have been struggling with for months now. Yesterday was a very enjoyable day at only 85 degrees and today it got kicked up a notch to 96, which felt more like 100+. So how did I spend my last weekend of summer?

Well, yesterday my boyfriend and I went into town for lunch and of course for some shopping. I had to hit up the Bath & Bodyworks event and get my free gift. I also went into Pier 1 Imports to check out the end of summer sale. I wanted SO MANY items, but I managed to keep myself in check because I really want to do some fall decorating. As for today I had to sit in front of the tele pretty much the whole day, why? Because it's Emmy day of course!! I live for TV and always watch the awards shows, from the red carpet and pre-shows to the actual show which I am watching right now. Jane Lynch is hosting and so far I have to say she is doing a decent job, maybe not the best ever but okay.

So what did you do on the last weekend of summer? Did you hit the beach, the LA fair or did you do like me and hit the shops and then the couch? Well whatever you did, I hope you had a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by, now let's get ready for the week. GROAN

EyeBuyDirect.com Review and $30 GC Giveaway...

Prescription eyeglasses are not cheap, with prices usually starting around $150. But they don’t have to be- EyeBuyDirect.com offers a wide range of high quality affordable cheap eyeglasses. How do they do so? By selling eyeglasses online EyeBuyDirect is able to cut the costs considerably and offer prescription eyeglasses starting as low as $6.95 including basic Rx lenses. Check out these eyeglasses for example.

BE-8042 - Black $6.96

This price includes single vision lenses. If you were to choose this really cute pair of frames,
and added the $5.95 for USPS shipping, you would only be paying a total of
$12.90 for the entire order. Where else can you get such a cute and trendy
pair of prescription glasses for that price? Under thirteen bucks!!

John Black $39.95

Okay so for my review I wanted to get the quintessential nerd, black frame glasses. As soon
as I saw the John's they immediately called my name. Having never ordered a pair of
glasses online I was really interested in how easy and fast this service would be. Getting around
EyeBuyDirect was easy, all I had to do was find the perfect pair of frames, I even got to
try the frames on a picture of myself using the "eye try" feature. I had my prescription right in
front of me and putting it in was simple and fast. Once I got the order in I was completely anxious, really excited and looking forward to receiving my order.

Even with Labor day cutting into the time and possibly delaying my order a bit, I still got my little
box in the mail in under two weeks. I happily plucked then out of the box and was very pleased
with the hard case they come in. There will be no accidental crushing of my new frames. They also came with a cleaning cloth which will keep my lenses crystal clear and will
not get them scratched up.

As for the glasses they are perfect. I slipped them on and suddenly the world was so clear. I am
farsighted so it felt great to be able to watch the tele and actually see it!

I love my new glasses and I love Eye Buy Direct's service and still can't believe how
affordable it is to order prescription glasses from them. After years of spending
hundreds of dollars every time I needed a new pair, I can tell you I will never
go back!
