If you've read past posts in this blog, you've probably gathered that I'm a really big movie fanatic. I love watching them, their fun, and you basically just get to escape to this other place when watching them. There are so many movies coming out in theaters that I'm just dying to see.
My Idiot Brother, starring Zooey Deschanel, Paul Rudd (who I've loved, ever since Clueless), and Emily Banks. Most people I know or even most of my family members would probably rather die then watch a movie like that, but I kind of love them. Zooey Deschanel, is someone who I've become a huge fan of too, I've been wanting to see 500 Days Of Summer, but still haven't because I have to be considerate of what my family and friends want to watch too, and they don't like those movies. Crazy Stupid Love, I want to see that, first of all because I love Steve Carel but also because Emma Stone. She's really making quite an impression. She's doing so much, and she has the perfect comedic timing. Plus it's nice when there are pretty actresses like her, who are willing to do something so completely embarrassing for a laugh. Anne Hathaway, is another great example. I've loved her ever since The Princess Diaries. Plus there's also all those funny comedians who aren't so new to the game like Tina Fey and Amy Pholer. Baby Mama, was hysterical! Cloris Leachman, who plays a demented old granny in Raising Hope. And if your immune to the powers of Betty White, I salute you. Shes just too damn adorable.
Period piece movies, I kind of like. Pride and Prejudice is like a really big guilty pressure of mine. I don't even know why but I watch it whenever it's on. Horror films, are not exactly my favorites. I can watch them at home but never in the theater, there too loud. Sci-Fy depends on the type and I hate Super Hero movies. The only ones I've liked were The Dark Night and Watchmen.
Television, is another thing entirely. I only watch a select few of channels, and a select few of shows on each channel I'm big on entertainment news programs, my favorites being E! News and TMZ. I'm a fan of BRAVO although not as much as my mother. I watch all the big networks, but I'm really starting to think there just running out of ideas for shows. Their remaking everything, I mean first Beverly Hills 90210, Witches of Eastwick, Dallas, Charlies Angels, and now Bewitched. They really just need to come up with their own ideas and stop reusing old material. No ones all that creative anymore.
When I was younger, like thirteen, I went through this awful stage where I love soap operas. Days Of Our Lives and Passions were my favorite. Now whenever I see clips of them all I can think is what terrible actors they all are. Their either over acting, or have these horrible voices they use, or just have terrible writing. I have no idea what I saw in them.
HBO, I loved HBO! Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, and Big Love are some of the best shows I've ever seen. I still to this day watch Sex and the City, on E!. Big Love, was also kind of a phase, when I just became fascinated with polygamy, again I don't even know why. I think I was just a weird kid.
