Popcorn a la Scream.

Talk about a flashback to the nineties, it's Jiffy pop! Made famous to me, from the 1996 classic Scream, during the infamous murder scene of Drew Barrymores' character. I love pop corn as a quick and fun snack for when hanging out with my family but rarely do I actually buy jiffy pop. I've always preferred the microwavable mini bags, that you just pop in and pull out 3 minutes later, but I decided to buy one just so nieces and nephews can see how it's made. I knew they would get a kick out of seeing it getting bigger and bigger. I actually forgot that it's kind of fun making it too, it's like their slogan says "As Much Fun To Make As It Is To Eat!"

Look At It Grow!

This has been a pointless post! ;-)

A Movie I Can Watch Over & Over Again!

The Birdcage (1996), an absolutely hysterical, well written, and slightly unconventional film, about a gay couple reluctantly toning down their flamboyant lifestyle for one night, when meeting their soon-to-be in-laws. Quite possibly the only film I can watch repeatedly, and never tire of it. It's crazy and quirky cast of characters have seriously never failed to make me smile, and being set in South Beach, Florida makes it all the more amusing.

The Funny Men of The Birdcage

Robin Williams & Nathan Lane portray the Goldmans. He owns the drag club downstairs, while "she" stars in the the clubs big show as Starina.

Hank Azaria, plays the Goldman's faithful houseman Agador and Gene Hackman takes the lead as head of The Keeley clan, a family "right-winged moralists", and coming off a scandal of their own, journey to meet Armand "Coleman", his "house wife" and "butler".

I was introduced to this film when I was still a kid by my mother, who like me, loves the film for all that it is and even now when I find the rare occurrence of it airing on cable, I just have to watch. Whether it's on AMC or TV Land's ever amusing, edited version. I never knew that a network would go so far as to actually paint bikini bottoms on a person, I was watching one day and wondered "Hey, where did all the asses go?!". I honestly think this a movie everyone should see, all of the actors are amazing and there is not one boring part. You'll laugh, till it's over, and still after.

It's Hot Hot Hot!

(Not my picture)

Living in the Inland Empire, I've definitely had to adjust to some huge changes from what I was used to when I lived more towards San Diego county. One of the biggest changes, is the heat. I don't think I've even expeirenced triple-digit temperatures before. And to make matters worse, my air conditioning unit is the ugly, huge, old fashioned kind, that makes more noise, then it does cool air. I guess you kind of get used to the noise after it's on for a couple of hours but still, I always remember when a friend comes over and I can tell they are just wondering why it is damn noisy in the house. I really am I have one though, no matter how old and ugly. Especially when I have to quickly step outside to catch the mail or something. The minute I step out, you can't even breathe, and immediately the sweating starts. It's horrible. I have no idea how people who live in places like; Las Vegas, Arizona, or Texas. I swear weather is always my biggest concern when it comes to relocating. Winter also gets pretty cold here too, we can get into the 50's and stay there all day long. My family would sometimes complain about it being too damn cold, but I'd rather freeze my butt off while trying to stay covered in blankets, then sweating to the oldies during the summer time.

Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products Mean Value and Quality!

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Pharmacist

Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products    are a great way to get a high quality product without paying for the name brand. I find that when I am in need of regular items like, headache, cold, fever and even menstrual pain medicine I can turn to Walgreens Brand & Wellness Products, and know that I will be getting the relief I need at a really affordable price. Being a big fan of Walgreens because of the convenience of just being able to pop in and grab what I need, I have tried quite a few of the products.  My medicine cabinet is stocked up with first aid items like, Walgreens Original Strength Triple Antibiotic Ointment and Walgreens Sheer Adhesive Bandages. Anytime any of the kids has a scrape or fall I can reach for these and feel comfortable using them and the low prices allow me to keep them stocked in the house at all times. Taking care of your kids accidents, should not have to be a luxury.

The Newest Singing Competition Show, The Voice!

The Voice, a singing competition, that puts not only the contestants, but the coaches as well in competition together. Each coach acts as a mentor to a select group of singers, of their own choosing. The catch, the singers are chosen based off of talent alone, by not allowing the judges to see who exactly is performing. It became an immediate hit, and is constantly getting compared to American Idol.

The Coaches!

Christina Aguilera~The only girl amongst the guys, and one of the two judges that I think actually makes sense on this panel. Her group consists of mostly girls, and while quite a few of them have simply decent voices I do think that Frenchie Davis and Beverly McClellan, do put her team at a serious advantage.

Cee-Lo Green~The only other coach that I think makes sense on the panel. While he may be best known for his most recent hit 'F**k You', he does have a few other hits that he made while apart of the group Gnarls Barkley, and he has experience as a producer as well.

Adam Levine~Okay, this may sound mean, but I really don't consider Maroon 5, a "real" band. I love 'She Will Be Loved' just as much as the next person, but aside from him singing a few catchy tunes, I don't get what really qualifies him to be a mentor.

Blake Shelton~I honestly have no idea who this man is, what I know is that he has been around for about 10 years and only recently become big.  I saw his interview on Chelsea Lately a year ago to promote what at the time was a brand new CD, and I saw his interview on the exact same show a year later promoting the exact same CD. Apparently no one else knew who he was either.

All in all the show is sort of fun, and there is some genuine talent amongst the contestants. But you have to wonder exactly when there going to stop with the competition shows, because it is all sort of beginning to seem a bit repetitive. I mean American Idol, America's Got Talent, The Voice, and the upcoming X Factor, when will it all end?! I also think that the coaches are coming off as a bit "preachy", but they do seem to genuinely want to mentor the contestants, which is good. I don't know, I may just stick to watching the auditions and finale next season though.

The End of An Era is Upon Us!

I've always loved all things supernatural and I've been a fan of these films since they first came out, it's the only series apart from The Twilight Saga, that I always make sure to see in theaters  to get the full experience. But now that this series final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, is being released soon, I feel like I'm loosing my best friend. Even after seeing each of the films most likely over a hundred times each, I can always watch them over and over again, and never get sick of it. The magic and adventure each film always has, can make everyone feel like a kid again, it's one of the few movies I can watch and become completely immersed in. ABC Family frequently airs Harry Potter 3 Day Weekends Movie Marathons, and I immediately tune in. I love this series and everything they stand from the loyalty, to the friendship, and facing your worst fears to protect those you love, the ending will truly be a bittersweet affair.  Just look at how much they changed throughout the series, they really did grow up in front of the entire world...

Harry Potter & The Sorcerer's Stone

Harry Potter & The Chamber Of Secrets

Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban

Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire

Harry Potter & The Order Of The Phoenix

Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows: Part 1

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows:Part 2

So now that the series is over, I'm assuming that most future generations are going to be able to love and see the series as an actual whole. But I'm always going to wonder if this will really be the last we see of Harry, Ron, and Hermione? J.K Rowling has always said she'd be up to write more, but the cast, I think may be done. You never know though, just maybe if the script was good enough, maybe they would make a return to the series that started it all for them. One can only hope.

Scent of Scandal soy candles from EdenFantasys

Sex toys - EdenFantasys adult toys store

This time around when placing my new EdenFantasys order I really wanted to buy something different for myself. One of the really lovely things about this massive online adult store is that there are so many choices, and so many things that you are sure to find something new every time. I really love candles, especially soy candles and today I found the best collection ever.

These Scent of Scandal soy candles look just divine, and with ten different ones to chose from I really had a ball trying to decide which two to order. These cost $18.99 and have a very impressive burn time of 30 hours!

My two choices ended up being:

Gin and Juice : LUSH

Fig Leaf  : ORIGINAL SIN

As soon as the others are in stock I plan on getting:

Margarita  :  ONE NIGHT STAND
Chocolate and Vanilla  :  TWO TIMER

A scent of scandal - Candle

I can not wait to get these in the mail, and I plan on posting a full review for my next EdenFantasys post, so I will let you all know exactly how great they are. See you back in a few weeks for that review!

Disclaimer: I will receive a gift card for this post.

Sunday and Donuts!

I love Sunday mornings, they always feel like they are a brand new start. If for some reason my week was terrible and so busy, I know that on Sunday morning I get a brief respite. I can wake up a bit later than usual, and then me and my boyfriend can head out to the donut shop and bring a dozen of the most delicious donuts home.

Then we can decide if we want to have tea, coffee or cold milk with our donuts while we watch some news on the tele, or maybe I will sit on here and catch up on all the celebrity news on TMZ while I eat my one donut. Because yeah, we buy a whole dozen, but that does not mean that I eat them all. I choose one delicious donut and make it last, that's probably it's so delicious, because I eat only that one lonely donut per week. But it's my little splurge and I really enjoy it.

What do you love to eat on Sunday morning??

It's Comming! Breaking Dawn: Part 1 Yay!

It's here! The movie I have been waiting for since I first became a fan of the series in  2008, when Twilight hit the big screen. Breaking Dawn, has just about everything the first three books offered individaully all rolled into one. Twilight focused on Bella and Edward, New Moon was all about Jacob, Bella, and the wolf pack, and Eclipse was all about the Cullens, and Bella's choice between two loves. Well Breaking Dawn, the biggest and best book of them all is offering it all, it's gonna be so epic that they need two movies to tell the story. Here's the very first trailer for the upcomming film Breaking Dawn: Part 1...

My Favorite Things About The Twilight Saga!

~The Cullens! Best vampire coven ever!
Fav Cullens...
Alice
Rosalie
Jasper
Esme
Emmette
Carslile
Esme
~The Books!
Fav Books...
Breaking Dawn (Mostly after Renessme)
Eclipse
Twilight
New Moon (Never really cared for the wolf pack)
~The Music! Florence and The Machines, Muse, Linkin' Park, Lykke Li, and Paramore.
~The Actors! Love Nikki Reed and Robert Pattinson, may just be the hottest guy ever.
~Team Edward! While he may seem slightly controlling, I prefer him over Jake anyday.
~The Volturi! Best villians ever!
~The setting! Forks seems so pretty and Italy was gorgeous in the movie.

I loved lots of other things to but those were some of my favorite parts about the saga. I cannot wait until Breaking Dawn hit's theaters! It's gonna be good!
